[T]he lettering over the saucer has colors inverted (the red and the black). ;) It got fixed on import into Bryce. I'm almost done with retexturing it, it's continuing to look fantastic and I'm really wishing I could work it into more than just the epilogue. Both Chainsaw and Paul did amazing jobs ...

^ Actually, I've been working on the end credits all along, to avoid a lengthy research process when production is complete. I made the mistake during both Specter and Retribution of leaving that for last, I didn't want to go through that again.

Well like I said the only two pieces that I had to replace were the blue parts at the very top and the grille lines over them. Everything else was still yours.

Now that I have a single ship for a size reference, I'll try exporting your rework to OBJ and seeing if I can use the nacelle parts from that. I don't think texture mapping will be an issue with those few parts.

Long as we got it, that's what matters. I did wind up taking the displaced nacelle parts from the original mesh and then matching them up with yours, but take a look at the results:

The 3DS you enclosed shows the same component drift that mine did when I tried it. But I think I may have stumbled on the answer, and it looks like you were close: instead of setting the pivot points to the center of the object, it looks like the right answer was to simply reset the pivot points. I don't know what it is, Paul's original Sovereign didn't have this component drift, so I'm not understanding why your modification does. In any case, I appreciate the effort but like I said I can't use the OBJ. Look at the difference between the two. The OBJ's saucer texture loads very differently ...

The hierarchy panel doesn't have Center to Pivot. The three alignment options I see are Center to Object, Align to Object, and Align to World. Am I doing something wrong or is that just a difference between Max 2010 and Max 2012?

The colored nacelles and such aren't the problem so much as the textures on the saucer. Look at how the OBJ version loads them, then look at the 3DS version. The UV mapping looks right with the 3DS, but not with the OBJ. I can manually add the textures on the parts that aren't htere. I'll give the M...
