Re: ★TRIBUTE TO AUTHORS

Nice to hear from you Dave!

I think what you're describing is the 'creative process' :P
Always looking forward to any new or existing projects you have, whether slow, old, new, high or low poly, they all have a story to them! Keep it coming :).

Re: TMP Era starship

Thanks, interesting design! Do you have a backstory to it? It makes me think of a possible development from Constitution to Ambassador.
Would you like to host it here? What did you build it in?

Trekmeshes hosting switch

Hi All, I've moved the STMC to a new hosting provider. It's now available by HTTPS, though the site internally keeps putting you back on HTTP for now. That'll be fixed over the coming days. Most importantly; please let me know through email or the board if you find any issues at all. There is bound ...

Re: How to make single mesh solid model

How to do it properly will depend on the mesh. Usually, the original software it was made in is the best to use as they will retain the shape while making a solid mesh. Problem is, it does not always work very well as some shapes (and texture mapping) depend on hierarchy and as such the option to do...

Re: Star Trek: Defence Line (game project)

Finally got around to trying it, great work! The mechanics seem to be working well, I was intuitively able to control the fleet and I also managed to destroy all Collective vessels 8) The ships look good in the engine, especially zoomed in. Also the planet makes for a nice view. I wasn't able to mak...

Re: My version of the Kronos 1 study model

Fantastic progress!
Out of interest, do you go straight from idea into model, or do you sketch/draw ideas first?

Re: My version of the Kronos 1 study model

Wow... the detail is amazing, and assuming you're not working on it 24/7, the speed that you're working is just as amazing!

I love the close-up shots even now, can't wait to see the final result!

Re: My version of the Kronos 1 study model

The level of detail is just... fantastic!
And the general style is very consistent throughout. It doesn't make it look either messy or overdone. Really nice work!

Not sure about those Klingons and their green lights though. It looks cold in there, I guess blood wine is there to heat things up!

Re: Shuttle concept

Nice work on the moving parts, and the integration of interior and exterior.
And lets face it, if I had a starship, I would forget about the shuttles too :)

Re: My version of the Daedalus from the starfleet museum

Really nice, great detail and the dirty look really adds to the realism. Nice work on the main hull 'rings', they fit right into place (often they look more like 'ribs' on designs like this).
Nice work!

Wow, love the detail! Great work on the hatches, does the museum allow kids to go in? ;)
