Phaser???

I'm using 3DS max 2010 and I want to create a phaser effect.

What would be the best way to do this?

Hi bud, there are several ways of doing it.

1. use a cylinder and add s glowing material or noise to it and make it glow in the video post.
2. use a particle spray, like superspray (add material and glow)

there are more way to do it, it all depends on what works for you.
