So this has been asked a lot and it probably can't be converted, but what the heck. If someon suddenly CAN, please do so.

I'll see what happens when I convert it. Last time I tried to convert this mesh, it looked like it turned in-side-out. lol :D

yea thats MAXs limitation  is it the same if you like, export to 3ds, open in 3ds, then save in 3ds, then import in another program? does 3ds accept it or does it too give the mesh inside out?

I don't think I've had any problems exporting to 3ds. Max doesn't do it too well, but I normally use "Deep Exploration". Its an app designed for converting just about any model from any format. Usually no problems.:)

Does it still look inside-out when you render it with "Force 2-sided"? In that case it's a problem with the normals and you should be able to release it stating that in MAX you need to render with "Force 2-sided" enabled. Or you can manually flip the incorrect normals :).

Troy -- just checking: did you get the private messages with the instructions on the mesh moderating?

I can try to convert it to .fbx format; that usually turns out quite well

Not at all, I still use Win 98 on a few of my PCs, since it takes up a lot less resources ;). I'll see what happens when I DL that file :).
