Request- Saladin/Freedom class mesh

Postby Sherlock Holmes » Thu May 03, 2007 11:58 pm

I usually dont make requests, but being the rank of Commander might allow me to make just one in a blue moon.

I was wondering if someone could make a Saladin/Freedom class mesh in Either 3DS or .Blend format . (IF 3ds format, i like permission to import it to .blend format) . You would be doing me and a friend a huge favor (he wants good customized pictures of the class to use in sims) .

Thanks in Advance,
Sherlock Holmes

ATM I'm making an ambassador era vessel, but I could have a crack at it. The Freedom is the 1 nacelle TOS era ship right? In fact, I reckon I could do a kitbash of one in half an hour.

Edit: Realised its the TNG era one. Sci-Fi Art has one in MAX format, so I might convert it when I have time.

No no. You had it right the first time. Its a TOS saucer, with a Deflector dish where the lower sensor dome is supposed to be on the saucer, and it has a tos NAcelle attached to the neck rather than a stardrive.

Also I must have clear permission from the creator to import it to blender.

Yeh, Freedom is the TNG version, Saladin is the TOS one. I think I can probably make one, then you can do whatever the hell you like with it. Quite conveniently I've got a book with some blueprints in :D

TOS or TMP era? cause there is a TMP era saladin on trekmeshes. It needs a wee bit kitbashing, but that is nothing more then mirroring the nacelle and deleting the old one.

It was the TOS version. I bet the book Deadly is refering to is the Starfleet Technal MAnual with all those kitbashes in it. I wish i still had that book. Even though nothing in it is near canon, it was a really good book. I have tried kitbashing Axeman's model but I can't delete one Nacelle without deleting the other. They're linked and i cant unlink them. As a matter of fact I think That mesh i am using to kitbash from was in that old Starfleet Tech manual too.
