Donating meshes

Postby axeman3d » Tue Mar 06, 2007 2:23 am

Hi there,

I've already got one or two models on this site but I figure that since Erik is now trying to get it going again I'd try and keep the impetus going. This is the go-to place for Trek stuff so I think it only right to donate my Trek related models to the archive. My current collection can be found at...

http://www.axeman3d.com/models3.htm

and feel free to download everything marked as being made by The Axeman or Hawkhart. I have some other Trek related meshes I've yet to package up and release, so once I get round to it you guys will be the first to know. Thanks for the great site Erik, best of luck.

donating:
SS Botany Bay
USS Vigilant
Trek Truck
Vulcan Warp Shuttle
IAV-106 (updated with warp engine add-on)
TAS shuttles set
USS Bradbury
Ptolemy Transport
Sword of Kahless
Aladdin cargo shuttle

Not that I'm aware of, no. I am a Moderator from time to time on Spacebattles.com, and I used to hang around the TrekBBS art board, but that's about it.

You know, for a long time I thought that too, it's funny to have two Axeman's around :).

Thanks for the post, you offered this a long time ago but again it got snowed under. Hopefully now the moderators can get these online here!

Good to hear from you again.

I will make pages for these meshes on STE which have a message like "Download this mesh from trekmeshes.ch" and then a link to trekmeshes.ch. For the sake of co-operation :D

STE?

I know all about losing stuff when being snowed under, not a problem. I've never run into the other Axeman, so I've joined Sci-fi meshes to hang around and see if he pops up. :)

Ah right, I knew the Australia site had disappeared but I never knew it had been replaced.

Shame I cant see it since I, like 8 out of 10 people on the net, am using a version of Microsoft Internet Explorer. I think you guys may have shot yourselves in the foot in your rush to stick it to Bill Gates. I realise it may not be a popular choice with you, but you should consider making it so the site is at least browsable by IE users, since Firefox is not the popular choice in internet browsers.

Huh? the website can be accessed using IE, the layout just looks a bit different. As far as i can see, on my PC the website still looks like it should using IE.

Oh, wait..... i just saw that the mesh pages are not loaded. It's a bug i will fix soon. My intent is to make STE available for all browsers. It's hard thing to do, so i start with FF, then make it compatible with IE, then Opera and finally the MAC browser.

Can you convert your Botany Bay into 3DS or MAX format?, so I can use it in 3DS MAX.

Conversions to 3DS in Lightwave come out with no texture info, it'd be a plain model only I'm afraid.

As for the STE site, I can access it, but it is spread over god knows how many pages. I get the top bar and side bar, but the main content is often missing and is always located about 20 pages-worth of scrolling down, with the whole page being stretched about the equivelant of 45 pages. My poor mouse wheel cant take it! Some of the pages of content are missing all together and give errors, but I assume it's because you've not made all your pages yet. Thats in IE-7 by the way.

As long as it isn't something specific to making it Firefox compatable then it should be fine in the end. Look forward to seeing the finished site.
