Update to my Constitution Class - Download it here

Postby GeneK » Sun May 06, 2007 10:34 pm

Years ago, Erik uploaded my original (1992!) C-Class model after someone in South America converted it to 3ds (and managed to lose a lot of the details and all the textures and markings in the process). I have a vastly improved version (which I have been using to made the images I post in the public forum), and it is available for upload if anyone wants it.

(both archives contain the same 3ds file)

First off its an excellent mesh, from the picture you posted. (I havent downloaded it yet)

Do you mind if i import it to blender. (Its the only 3d software i have)? Also, If it works out , may I submit the .blend file as another format option for Enzo to put on star trek Europe? PM me if you have any details to work out if you decide to let me import it and/or submit to Enzo.

Thanks

Knock yourself out. Let me know where it ends up and how it turns out.

I just opened it, and there are no textures, its just a white plain model.

The textures would be a big download. Also, the model is configured for a renderer that isn't widely used and will require remapping in other tools. I wanted to see if anyone was really interested before I put them online.

Well, I would love to use your model, it looks perfect. I of course use 3DS MAX, so I can import it, and make it a 3DS MAX file. But i would need the textures.

I'm moving this week so I don't have time to sort which map files are the ones the model currently uses, but I've zipped them all up into a big 15mb file at
