Chainsaw, the MAX file available for download was created in 3dsmax 2009.
3dsmax 9 does not work. Please choose 3DS.

Thank you.

I'm getting sad about your difficulty, my friend Chainsaw.

I would like to see what is happening with the texture of 3ds mesh.
I wish I could help you in a more efficient manner.

Could send an image via e-mail, or here in the forum as an attachment :?:

Olá, Mr. Chainsaw!
(Hope you're getting the translation.)

Ok .. you downloaded the file '.3 ds' and imported into your Max9.

Use the eyedropper/"Pick Material from Object" does not work, because during the export to the '.3 ds' format , the textures are renamed.

It is necessary to recreate the settings of the maps following the guidelines of the ".Txt" file that comes with the download, where there are simple instructions:

Mesh (s) Name = Related maps

BgdDIs = Diffuse Slot: VIP Bridge Recreate Diffuse.tif / Self-Illumination slot: VIP Bridge Recreate Mask.tif! Please, Check 'n' the "Color" toggle! / Specular Level Slot: VIP Bridge Recreate Tiles.tif

DscDwn = Diffuse: No Map: Simple White Color / Specular Level Slot: DiscoDown Tile 2.tif

DscUp = Diffuse: No Map: Simple White Color / Specular Level Slot: DiscoUp Tile 2.tif

and so on.

I created this list because I know that the importation is not tidy configuration of the maps.

I saw that in his MaterialEditor, the textures for the objects with the name beginning with "BgdDI" are configured.

1) Follow the instruction in ".Txt" file with calm.

2) In a new Max file, before you import the objects, set up each set of materials.

3) a) Save the file and b)import the Enterprise mesh.

4) Click 'Select by Name' or press H and arrange the list in alphabetical order (in the file. "Txt ' the objects are in alpha order.)

5) Make your selection, open the Material Editor and drag the map to the selected object or set of objects.

Send your news/images about this problem ...

The title of this topic is "Constitution Refit, Spacedock" but of "spacedock" there was nothing.
Now, STMC has a more "spacedock" in his collection meshes.

Available soon

Send your Spacedock too! It will be a great contribution to the STMC!

Hahahaha! The picture of "Back to the Future IV" is great! It is Dr. Emmett Brown in the XXIII century!

Doc Brown:  Destroy only the mustache of the captain of that ship!

Soldier:  But, sir ... Sensors indicate that the captain has no mustache!

Doc Brown:  EXECUTE!

Grissom: Booooom!

I thank all those who downloaded the CONSTITUTION REFIT-ENTERPRISE - A.

In this time of writing, the numbers are these:

Formats:
3DS (10.97 MB) 841 downloads since 17th 2010f June 2010.
MAX (14.72 MB) 530 downloads since 7th 2010f June 2010.

This proves two things:
1. The STMC is a well visited site!
2. The Enterprise Refit is the starship most beloved of all Starfleet!

Thank you all!

*************************************************************
Agradeço a todos os que baixaram a CONSTITUTION REFIT-ENTERPRISE - A.

Neste momento em que escrevo, os números são estes:

Formatos:
3DS (10.97 MB) 841 downloads desde 17 de Junho de 2010.
MAX (14.72 MB) 530 downloads desde 7 de Junho de 2010.

Isto prova duas coisas:
