Re: Ambassador Class Mesh

Thought I'd drop a note to say I've converted it to Lightwave .lwo format and have started the process of retexturing and fixing all the flipped polys, etc. Once I get it done I'll do a lighting rig for it and post the .rar file for you to download. CaptainJ2400, if you have no objections I'd like t...

Re: 30+ models and updates

Well that was embarrassing. I've uploaded the file again, it seems to be the right one this time. Give it a go and see if you can see the extra pictures.

Re: 30+ models and updates

Right, what I've done is retouch a few old renders and I've included them in the same STMC .rar file. If you donwload it again you'll now also have a selection of images for the news front page. What I can also do is convert a few of these to .obj or .3ds format as well, but I cant do the retexturin...

Re: 30+ models and updates

http://www.kennyscrap.com/zips/STMC.rar There's the link to a .rar file with 17 or so images and thumbnails for the models I can post up immediately. If you like I can knock up a decent render of one of the better models for the front page splash page if you like. Love the cartoon, by the way. I gen...

Re: 30+ models and updates

Thanks Guys, I'll knock out renders of the models to suit this site and then send you a link. I have to spend a day or two updating my site anyway, i have yet more models to upload and a couple of tutoriala to finish as well. I'll post it here when I'm done.

30+ models and updates

Hi all, nice to see this place coming back to life again. With that in mind, I thought I'd renew my offer of donating all the Trek models I currently have on my own website, www.kennyscrap.com I think 4 or 5 of them are already on here, but when I set up my new website I updated and cleaned up a lot...

I find the .obj files easiest, they dont crack up as badly as .3ds files during the conversion process. Although the converted .3ds models are split into textured areas, they are invariably knackered in the transfer.

Just had a look at the file. It includes a Nova in Lightwave format which, apart from a little tweaking here and there, is comlplete and ready to use. It also includes a ship called USS Equinox in a variety of different formats (max, obj, 3ds, dxf) and I hav begun to convert the .obj file to Lightwa...

Kuruma, the only texture map used was the Generic Panels texture that ships as standard with Lightwave, which is why I didn't bundle it with it. If you have Lightwave then you have that image map, or so I thought. The rest are procedurals generated on the fly. I'm downloading that nova to have a loo...

I cant convert Max models into anything, I need the thing in .obj, .dxf or .3ds in order to get it into Lightwave. Not that I can find the model you're talking about anyway, not on this site or STE. Where is it?

Not sure if this is the right thread, but I downloaded the Raven.obj file from the Star Trek Europe site. I noticed there wasn't a Lightwave version so I thought I'd while away 20 mins converting it. Three hours later and I've finished, since I noticed it was wildly inaccurate in a lot of places. He...
