Re: Need help: Sovereign Class
Yea...tried everything I can think of, but this mesh as is is unuseable. I need a 3DS export that doesn't "blow up" when I import it into Bryce. I can't use an OBJ export because the textures come out wrong. If you know MAX I'm hoping you know an option I don't see!

Re: Need help: Sovereign Class
Here's what I see when I import it, both Bryce and Deep Exploration see it like this.

Re: Need help: Sovereign Class
I exported it as a 3DS, but when I imported it back into Bryce the components had drifted (badly). Paul's original Sovereign didn't do that so something changed--is there any way to fix this kind of component drift?

No worries, I always ALWAYS give due credit and don't spread these things around.

Re: Need help: Sovereign Class
o_O? You sir are a HERO. I've never worked with Paul's Sovereign before so I didn't know the registry was geometry instead of graphical. Words seem insufficient, but THANK YOU for this!!!
I only have MAX 2010, so if you could convert to that format that would be terrific. Again, thanks a million!

Re: Need help: Sovereign Class
^ That sir is FAR better than I can do, so it works! If you don't mind sharing that hull texture, I'm happy to use it as is, though of course if you want to keep working on it (the scene I want this for won't be made for a while yet), I'm hardly going to say no!
Thanks a million for this!!!

Need help: Sovereign Class
There are those out there with far more ability than I with these things, and I was wondering if it would be possible for one of our very talented members to make textures for one of the Sovereign-class meshes out there, with the following registry information: USS F. Scott Fitzgerald NCC-85107-B If...

Re: V'Ger Mesh
^ For what it's worth, "Star Trek III: Redemption" is being produced entirely with the help of Bryce 7.1 and Poser 7, with some outside help from Deep Exploration from time to time. These programs are pretty good when used properly and in concert. Have fun!

^ If you want to see what I did with it, have a look: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=pl ... mo#t=2377s
These renders were all made using Bryce 7.1, so there IS hope for those ancient programs

Re: V'Ger Mesh
^ I almost never put credits on individual scenes like I've been posting, but everyone always and without fail gets credited for their work during the end credits sequences. If you look at Specter and Retribution you'll see that. There are several versions of this thing floating around and every one...

Medjai?
Does anyone have a way to get in touch with Medjai? His Volga-class runabout is featured prominently in my latest project and I thought he might want to see it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gMWuMBn4Osc http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JrAXpEfIRK0 Medjai, if you're out there, thanks for an awesome me...

Re: V'Ger Mesh
^ That's going to be fixed at the end of this production process but not before...I had a bad experience when I was making the first film and I have no desire to repeat it. People have been nagging me nonstop since Redemption kicked off to let them do VOs for Retribution, but to me voiceovers are th...
