Great work on the secondary hull, the Excelsior style flat-rounded design with round deflector isn't that easy to get right. Looks like you got it though!

I think you're right, the saucer rim seems to have the perfect place for it (logical anyway). It would be nice to have a huge door, spanning from impulse engine root to root, but that'd be too wide to match the design I guess. Two doors side-by-side could work... aesthetically. anyway :) . It's hard...

It's often underestimated how much work this is. Working alone is tough, having a team is easier but then again requires incredible coordination. And see what you've pulled off already so far! Respect!

You mention the impulse engines (which look great), but I do notice the incredible details on the hangars as well, including the lights etc. Really nice!

Unfortunately I don't have (working) software anymore to do this for you. I hope someone does, it's a great project! I've seen some people try before but I think you're taking the right approach in making the code free, it does away with the troubles of imaging. Looking forward to it!
